Does participation in this RFI confer any rights or advantages in future procurement processes?

No. Participation does not confer any rights, preferential treatment, or priority, nor does it give rise to any legitimate expectation regarding a potential future procurement process.

Who bears the costs of participating?

Participants are solely responsible for all costs associated with preparing and submitting their responses and attending any clarification meetings.

How will confidential information submitted by participants be handled?

Information submitted by participants will be handled in accordance with the terms of the RFI and applicable law. Participants must clearly identify any information for which they request confidential treatment or restricted disclosure and state the basis for that request.

Must all sections of the RFI be completed?

No. All fields are optional. However, more detailed responses will help shape the final project concept.

Can participants propose an alternative technical configuration?

Yes. The reference configuration is illustrative and non-binding. Participants are encouraged to propose alternative configurations supported by a clear rationale.

How should responses be submitted, and what is the deadline?

Responses must be submitted electronically in PDF format to lngimport@eppetroecuador.ec by .

In which language should responses be submitted?

Responses may be submitted in either Spanish or English, at the participant’s discretion.

Who is this RFI intended for?

This RFI is intended for international suppliers with the experience and capability to supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) under a long-term contract.

Does this RFI constitute a tender process?

No. This RFI is a non-binding market consultation. It does not constitute an offer, a commitment to make an offer, or a commitment to enter into a contract.

Must proposed solutions be temporary?

Yes. Proposed solutions must be temporary and capable of rapid deployment to meet the requirement in the shortest possible timeframe. Permanent solutions are outside the scope of this RFI.
